Dear Friends,
This week, Josh is in San Francisco attending baking classes at the San Francisco Baking Institute. He's spending the entire week learning more about sourdough breads, levain, and wild yeast!
Thankfully, I was able to convince my parents to spend the week with me-- they're going to take care of Jonah during the day so I can focus on things at the bakery. We're going to have a blast! You know, now that I think about it, it really wasn't that hard to convince them to visit-- they love spending time with Jonah!

Tuesday- Walnut Kalacs
Wanut Kalacs is a Hungarian sweet bread that is filled with a sweet blend of vanilla and walnuts. It is an absolute treat, and like many other breads, it is unbelievable when it's warm. I'm not a pro at the pronunciation, but I do know that the "c" at the end is pronounced "ch". Walnut Kalacs will be available on Tuesday for $5.75 a loaf.
Thursday- Chocolate Kalacs
Kalacs is a Hungarian sweet bread that is very similar to brioche. Our Chocolate Kalacs has a beautiful and tasty chocolate swirl inside. It is an absolute treat, and like many other breads, it is unbelievable when it's warm. I'm not a pro at the pronunciation, but I do know that the "c" at the end is pronounced "ch". Chocolate Kalacs will be available on Thursday for $5.75 a loaf.

Friday & Saturday- Summer Stollen
It's back! If you haven't tried our Summer Stollen before and wonder what all the fuss is about, just take a look at the ingredient list: unsalted sweet cream butter, gold rum, candied lemon peel, dried blueberries, dried cranberries, dried pineapple, and chopped pecans. We bake each Stollen to a perfect golden brown then drizzle it with our made-from-scratch blueberry lemon icing. Delicious! |
